Clifford & Sandra Hurst
Pastors
Pastor Clifford Hurst has been in the ministry since 1979. He has served, often concurrently, as youth leader, evangelist, Bible school instructor, principal, instructor, and administrator of Christian schools, leader of Pentecostal associations, and, since 1992, as pastor of the Union Pentecostal Church. He has earned a bachelors degree in Bible with a minor in Greek and a masters degree in Bible literature with Old Testament emphasis. In 1984 he married Sandra who shares in the ministry with him. They have four children and nine grandchildren.
Bryan & Sarah McKelvey
Youth Pastors
Pastor Bryan Mckelvey answered the call to preach at the age of 14 and a year later preached his first sermon. In 2007, at the age of 21, he began as our youth leader. A year later he and Sarah (Baker) were married and obtained the official role as Youth Pastor, in 2008. Together they have directed the Southern Ohio Youth Camp for 7 years and have preached across the country in revivals, youth revivals, youth camps and youth retreats. They have a burden for teens and pre-teens to experience the love of God and His plans for their life. Bryan and Sarah have three children, Emma, Preston, and Eden.
Ruth Maggard
Children's Ministry & Outreach Director
Ruth A. Maggard, born in Dayton, Ohio has had a burden for ministry since the age of 8 when she first felt the Lord lay His hand on her life. She has been actively involved in children’s ministry since she was a teenager. In 2003, immediately after graduating from Bible College, Ruth accepted the position as Children’s Ministry and Outreach Director of Union Pentecostal Church . She has traveled across the United States and has conducted children’s ministry events on several Native American reservations, as well as in Mexico, Haiti and the Philippines. Her service at Union Pentecostal Church includes Wednesday Night Kid’s Classes, Extended Hands Puppet Team, Esther’s Heart (girl’s mentoring program), Sidewalk Sunday School, Weekly Outreach and Glow in the Dark. She has a passion to show children the love of God, and to reach them with the Gospel through puppets, skits, songs, stories, object lessons, etc. Her ministry motto is “Partnering with Families to Help Strengthen Today’s Kids”!
